The rest of the world is further than that.

The routes
Visas on arrival, currently US$31. Vilanculos International Airport is a short hop from town — most lodges include the transfer. We handle the rest from there.
Things people ask before booking
When is the best time to visit?
April–October. Cooler temperatures, less rain, and from late June to mid-October the humpback whales pass through on their migration. Whale sharks at Tofo are year-round.
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities can get a visa on arrival at Vilanculos International Airport. Currently US$31. Bring USD cash for the visa, plus US$3 arrival airport tax and US$30 departure tax. Subject to change — confirm with your airline.
What should I bring on a boat day?
Sunscreen (reef-safe), a wide hat, a light long-sleeve for the dunes, a dry-bag for phones, and a light heart. We provide snorkel mask + fins, towels, lunch, water and one soft drink per person.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes — Magaruque in particular is kid-friendly with low-tide lagoons. Lifejackets for all guests on all boats. Mention kids' ages when booking and we'll match you to the right trip.
What if the weather is bad?
If we can't safely run, we reschedule. Vilanculos weather windows are usually short — most trips just shift by a day or move into the afternoon. No-fault cancellations are fully refunded.
